Education on Human Rights Public Association is NGO which created by initiative of persons associated on the base of common interests established by statute. It is voluntary self-governing association which does not aim at of income and sharing of it among its member.

Association was established on 2 January 2001. In 6 June 2004 it was registered by the Ministry of Justice. Association has more than 40 members. Most of them are lawyers.

The main objective of association is Increase knowledge of population in the field of human rights by legal education and providing of human rights in the country.

In order to rich the forthcoming aims and obligations the association uses the following activity form:

• Realization of projects connected with human rights providing;
• Verification of human rights situation in the country and cooperation with state organs. NGO’s as well as international organizations;
• Defense any initiative which are useful socially and serve for forming of national society .enhancing democratic process in society;
• Agitate acquaint with international treaties in the field of human rights to witch the Republic of Azerbaijan has been joined;
• Rendering information serves to NGS s acted in the field of human rights protection;
• Realization of projects serving for developing national manors culture as well as protection of their rights;
• Participating in the field of citizens rights and liberties, human rights protection as well as rendering assistance to the realization;
• Publication of notebooks, method means and other literatures on human rights;
• Conduct of inquires in order to find out the opinion of different section of population in the field of human rights;
• Promoting of international culture, scientific and education relation and exchange;
• Conduct of scientific, round-tables scientific-practical conferences, symposiums, meeting on noted problems;
• Establishment of relations with appropriate organizations acted abroad and the promoting of them realization exchange of experts.

This association during its activity the association realized several projects in the field of human rights as well as organized various seminars.
